How dance can help with chronic pain

I interviewed Amber Richard Bauer, physical therapist at PT Mindfully about how dance can help people cope and heal from chronic pain. She shares, "Moving in novel ways increases neuroplasticity and makes your brain more adaptable. When people are stuck with certain nervous system patterns, moving in new ways actually helps their brain function in new ways. That’s amazing because so much of healing starts in the nervous system. Why not use something that is enjoyable and that feels social and supportive and fun as a way of supporting and accelerating your healing? Make it easier to get better."
