Ecstatic Dance empowers people of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds to freely express themselves; the liberating atmosphere creates a melting pot of acceptance and the fearlessness with which others move gives newbies permission and courage to dance without inhibition.
“It is a rare phenomenon in our current society for there to be a space where people of all races, ages, and socio-economic classes are openly welcome to come together to share an experience. Ecstatic Dance cuts through the aspects of ourselves that divide us and instead gels us together in a way that unifies - through something that almost all of us love to do - to DANCE!”
Ecstatic Dance gives people a space that welcomes authentic moments. Something I think we all hunger for, and certainly all need. In our fast paced, high tech world, we are still learning balance; presence along with our talents of "doing"...connection to self and other.
Ecstatic Dance provides physical and mental rehabilitation. It stimulates personal development and enhances the quality of life!
Ecstatic Dance is a community where like-minded, open, expressive, creative and kind people can come together and connect, socialize, and find each other in a creative art form.
At first it can be an odd experience, dancing in a beautiful clean sunny space with no cross-eyed drunks stumbling around. But then the beaming smiles of the dancers take over. And we are talking dancers of all ages, from different social scenes, with varied taste is music - but we are all laughing and dancing together. It is brilliant, and its for everyone. Come get a good sweat on Sunday morning. You will love it.
What can I say about Ecstatic Dance? It is home to me. It is everything that your average night time party isn't. I adore that it is during the day, drug-free, kid-friendly, green, no talking, and a purely life-infused ecstasy environment
Something about the room and the bright smiles on the dancers, including me, makes this a really spiritual and uplifting dance floor. I love the altar on the side and the kids running around.
